THE ART
My art is the result of years of hunting, gathering, dismantling, and assembling. While some work employs traditional media with borrowed subject matter, most of the pieces are created from elements discovered in nature, the household, industry, the hardware store, recycling bins, yard sales, and stuff donated by those who know my inclinations. Thematically the objects encompass useful lights, not so useful lights, trophies, exotic collectibles, toys, machines, yard enhancers and more. The essence is connections-often between humankind's output and the found world. My work is influenced by enironments, current events, general musings and a desire to take things apart and make new wholes.
